A Day with Dante

Saturday, Jul 29, 2017

8:00am – 3:00pm

Travel through the Inferno, climb Mount Purgatory, and fly in the Paradiso!  Come see how Classical education is different, experience Dante, the great epic poet of the Middle Ages, and learn first-hand what Chesterton Academy brings to the Willamette Valley.

The intention of A Day with Dante is for a parent and child (7th grade and up) to experience a day of classical education with each other. Following Church teaching that parents are the primary educators, Chesterton Academy’s success depends on each family’s commitment to, like Dante, descend, in order to ascend to the joy of experiencing truth, goodness, and beauty together.

Registration includes:

  • Morning and afternoon breakout sessions: theology, history, Latin, art, and music
  • Father Basil’s testimony, “Why I Love Chesterton and Classical Education”
  • General session, “A Day with Dante and the Classical Difference” by Mr. Nick Plato
  • Lunch
  • One student and one parent T-shirt
  • A calligraphy pen
  • A Day with Dante workbook
  • and a few Chesterton Academy surprises!

Please register under the student’s name. If you have questions about this event, please contact Nick Plato at info@chestertonwv.com or 503-508-0335.
