G.K. Chesterton Academy to Open in Iraq!

Click here to read the latest Press Release from the Society of G.K. Chesterton announcing their visit to Ebril, Iraq to commemorate the opening of Chesterton Academy of St. Thomas the Apostle. This is the first International network school to be opened in the Middle East! Their visit coincidentally will overlap with Pope Francis’ historic visit to Iraq and aims to prepare the new teachers and faculty for the Fall. They are expecting just under 100 freshman and sophomore students in their inaugural year; an incredible witness to the desire to rebuild and strengthen the Christian community which has seen a great decline in recent due to the violence and political climate of Iraq. This is a monumental accomplishment in the name of education for Chesterton Academy and the Christian peoples of Iraq!
