Chesterton Academy of the Willamette Valley proudly presents our annual spring concert titled "When in Rome..."

Join us for an evening featuring the best music of the three most famous renaissance composers of the Roman School: Palestrina, Victoria and Lassus.

A reception in the church hall will follow the concert. There is no cost to attend. Registration is greatly appreciated to help plan for the reception!

Chesterton Men's Night continues the tradition of good Christian cheer, fellowship, food, drinks, music, and a special guest speaker. There is no charge for the event and all men 21 & over are invited.

This year’s special guest speaker is Fr. Peter Julia. He will be delivering a talk titled “Serving our Lord, Serving our Country.” Fr. Peter Julia serves as Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese, and recently became an officer for the Oregon Air National Guard as a Catholic Chaplain for the 142nd Fighter Wing!

Chesterton Ladies Night: An Evening of Women, Wisdom, and Wine

The second annual Chesterton Ladies Night! An Evening for Women, Wisdom, and Wine held at the beautiful Scenic Valley Farms Tasting Room in Gervais, OR.

Fresh produce, heavy appetizers, and sweet treats will be served alongside the fermented fruit beverage that Scenic Valley Farms is known for! Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

Our guest speaker, Sarah Rico, will share her wisdom with us (God's Wisdom!). There will be an update on Chesterton Academy of the Willamette Valley, as well as an ask for donations* to support the school.

Chesterton Academy presents Agatha Christie's The Spider's Web

The Spider's Web is as much a comedy as it is a thriller, following Clarissa's plight after a man is mysteriously found murdered in her living room. When the local Inspector shows up on the hunt, Clarissa and her hapless guests must find a clever way to keep the body out of sight and send the Inspector on his way...quickly before the most important guest arrives.

The Spider's Web remains the second longest running of any of Agatha Christie's plays after The Mousetrap.

There will be three performances: Friday, May 12th at 7:00 pm, Saturday, the 13th at 7:00pm, and Sunday the 14th at 2:00pm.  Light refreshments will be available.

Men's Night VII: A Chesterton Tradition

Chesterton's Men's Night VII continues the tradition of good Christian cheer, fellowship, food, drinks, music, and a guest speaker. This popular event will be at Fordyce Farm starting at 7:00 pm on April 21. There is no charge for the event and men 21 and over are welcome.

We are blessed this year to be joined by special guest speaker, Dale Ahlquist! Dale is President of the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton, creator and host of the EWTN series “G.K. Chesterton: The Apostle of Common Sense,” and Publisher of Gilbert Magazine. The author of five books, editor of twelve, Dale has been called “probably the greatest living authority on the life and work of G.K. Chesterton.” He is a Senior Fellow of the Chesterton Library at London.

He will be speaking about....all things Chesterton!

A Chesterton Academy Gala

Mark your Calendars for November 5th! Chesterton Academy cordially invites you to attend our Fall Gala!

The Chesterton Gala is an evening to celebrate our school and community to benefit the students of Chesterton Academy of the Willamette Valley.

The Gala will be held at the Festhalle in Mt. Angel. The evening will include a delicious dinner, student hosted entertainment, a silent dessert auction, updates and an ask on behalf of the school.

The Menu will include cider-roasted pork loin, with or without apple chutney (GF) or stuffed portobello mushroom (VEG/GF), creamy mashed potatoes, grilled zucchini, buttered dill carrots, spring mix salad, and artisan bread.

Doors will open at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $40 per person.

Chesterton Academy is proud to present our first booth at the Annual Mt. Angel Oktoberfest this year! The Fr. Taffe Foundation generously bequeathed to us their old booth. We are so very excited to be a part of this great communal tradition. We will be selling three varieties of sweet crêpes from our booth for the duration of Oktoberfest.

Please do come by and sneak a treat amidst the fun and bring your friends and family to celebrate!

We are honored to have Father Todd Molinari, Vicar of Clergy for the Archdiocese of Portland, giving a reflection entitled Remaining Faithful to Christ and His Church in Times of Trial and Tribulation. There will be an update about the school and what lies ahead, and an invitation to support the Academy and its mission.

Our guest speaker, Dina Marie Hale, will share her wisdom with us about Women of Faith taking a leap of trust and the fruits of giving our hearts and vocations to the Lord. There will be an update on Chesterton Academy of the Willamette Valley, as well as an ask for donations* to support the school.

Join the Chesterton Academy Choirs on a musical ride through beautiful English gardens, along the mighty Thames, past Big Ben and the London Eye, and inside St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The Chesterton Choirs are directed by Mr. Doug Schneider. This year’s spring concert includes selections of sacred and secular choral pieces from 16th to 20th century England including Tallis, Handel, Williams, Purcell, Glover, and more. An intermission and light refreshments will be available.

The two protagonists, Algernon and Jack, have invented a name for themselves to avoid social obligations. They each woo women with their false name, and the result of their deceptions in the sphere of romance is a memorable, and hilarious one.

This year’s play is going to be a unique production put together by the hardwork and direction of four of our Seniors. With Estelle Fordyce and Lucy Gallagher directing, and Brigitta Andreas and Leah Belleque as stage managers, it is sure to be a hit!

There will be three performances, Friday, May 13th at 7:30 pm, Saturday, the 14th at 7:30pm, and Sunday the 15th at 2:00pm. Light refreshments will be available.

Men's Night VI; A Chesterton Tradition

Chesterton’s Men's Night continues for a sixth year! The tradition of good Christian cheer, fellowship, food, drinks, music, and a guest speaker is being upheld by popular demand. The event will be at Fordcye Farm starting at 6:00 pm. This is a 21 and over event and is free of charge.

This year we are blessed to be joined by guest speaker, Fr. Theodore Lange. Fr. Theo is the pastor at St. Catherine of Siena in Veneta, OR. He also happens to be the brother of Chesterton Academy's very own math, science, and physical education teacher and Ultimate coach, Mr. Brian Lange. He will be speaking about “Resistance to evil as the mark of a man of Christ in world gone mad.”

This event will include an update on Chesterton Academy and an ask with all donations benefiting the Academy.

It is the Wilder’s most frequently performed play, and fellow playwright, Edward Albee, describes Our Town as “the greatest American play ever written.” 

Our director, Christopher Leebrick, believes that in our current cultural climate, the depiction of life and normalcy in Our Town is more powerful than ever.

We hope you will join us for this timeless classic!
