Senior Capstone Project Serves Local Mothers in Need

Each year, seniors at Chesterton Academy of the Willamette Valley complete a Senior Capstone Project, pursuing an academic, artistic, or service endeavor that reflects their interests and the culmination of their education.

For her Capstone Project, senior Mary Rolfe partnered with Catholic Community Services to serve St. Brigid Home, part of Father Taaffe Homes and Pregnancy Support Services, located just next door to our school. Through generous community donations and months of planning and coordination, Mary furnished and decorated living spaces for young mothers, creating peaceful, welcoming rooms where they can find comfort, dignity, and hope.

Mary's project is a beautiful example of serving the local community with creativity, compassion, and generosity. We are grateful for her dedication and for the many individuals whose donations helped bring her vision to life.
